A rant on how tech start-ups don’t recognize design (and designers)

Firstly, allow us to apologize for not bringing you our usual Wednesday feature. There are no excuses for this but Nepa took light and since we’re still under transformation while waiting for change, there wasn’t much anyone could do.

So, to the Bant/Rants of today. Leslie Williams wrote a series of bant tweets targetted at @TechCabal about why they (and by extension, tech start-ups in the nigerian space) seem comfortable ignoring design until the 11th hour.

Take a look. Do you agree?

  1. Preach! Seeing Nigerian app interfaces makes me cringe. What atrocities they put down then expect us to keep wondering which button is which or figure the design was done by a 5 year old? Tsk tsk, where’s the bloody change???
